Vikki started an interest in taxidermy after Ryan and James hunted in Texas when she received the bill for their animals. She has been creative with different things all her life. I might be able to do that for my family, Vikki says. With having five hunters in our family and more with extended family and friends, that is a lot of taxidermy. Vikki learned from a wonderful teacher and realized that this is what she was here to do. The family got there passion of the outdoors from Ryan and Vikki’s fathers, showing us around and some skills.
James Werner and Chuck Scarberry (Vikki’s Dad) are the inspiration and start of our families love for the outdoors. At 14 Jim took Ryan to shoot his first buck in Colorado. After many years Jim, Ryan, Vikki, Rob C, and Dave R started their annual hunting trips in 1998. The trips have continued and the members grown larger. We now have the opportunity to show and share with our kids what Jim has shown us and Chuck has taught Vikki. What better way to show the love and appreciation for Jim, Chuck, and the outdoors by bringing the memories back to life and being involved in a career that keeps us close all year long. Thanks for letting us be involved in your outdoor experience and stories.
We also thank our friend Rich W. for helping us get some skills.
