Mike Nelson, Taxidermist
Mike’s true passion has always been hunting with his family and friends. He has taken his passion and interest in preserving all types of species to the next level by starting Nelson’s Taxidermy in 2009. Mike is the founder and taxidermist for Nelson’s Taxidermy.
Mike attended the Missoula Valley School of Taxidermy in Thompson Falls, Montana in 2008. Under the instruction of award winning taxidermist, Tim Wood, Mike studied the art of preserving wildlife as it was in nature and creating real life mounts. He completed courses in mammals, birds, and habitat. During his education, Mike learned the fine and intricate details that set his mounts apart from other taxidermists.
Mike thoroughly enjoys meeting with each client and determining what they envision for their mount.
